A partir de este lunes, se darán a conocer en Estocolmo y Oslo los ganadores de los premios Nobel en medicina, física y química de este año. El jueves, la Academia Sueca dará a conocer su decisión sobre el Nobel de Literatura, que el año pasado fue para el francés Jean Marie Le Clézio. Entre los favoritos de este año figuran además del israelí Amos Oz y el poeta franco-sirio-libanés Adonis, varios escritores estadunidenses, como Joyce Carol Oates, Thomas Pynchon y Philip Roth. También figura en las quinielas la rumana afincada en Berlín Herta Müller y el cantante y compositor estadounidense Bob Dylan.

El viernes, informa La Jornada, se conocerá el Nobel de la Paz, que tras la concesión del galardón del año pasado al ex presidente finlandés Martti Ahtisaari por su labor de mediación en conflictos, crisis y guerras, las apuestas este año parecen estar completamente abiertas, ya que la inusualmente extensa lista de candidatos oficiales está integrada por 205 nombres, entre hombres, mujeres e instituciones. Los premios están dotados cada uno con casi un millón y medio de dólares. El creador del galardón fue el industrial e inventor de la dinamita, Alfred Nobel (1833-1896), y comenzó a darse en 1901.
