Mercedes Sosa murió… murió La Negra, pero con su partida no mueren las voces a las que les dio voz, ni su voz.
Se lee en El Clarín: “El canto popular está de duelo: en la madrugada de ayer, a los 74 años, murió Mercedes Sosa. Hacía más de dos semanas que estaba internada en el Sanatorio de la Trinidad, en el barrio de Palermo, por una enfermedad hepática que le afectó los riñones y los pulmones. Su muerte se produjo a las 5.15 y sus restos fueron velados desde el mediodía en el Congreso Nacional, ante una multitud que se acercó para despedirla. Hoy, en una ceremonia íntima, será cremada en el cementerio de la Chacarita. La capilla ardiente instalada en el Salón de los Pasos Perdidos se abrió al público a las 12.30.

A partir de este lunes, se darán a conocer en Estocolmo y Oslo los ganadores de los premios Nobel en medicina, física y química de este año. El jueves, la Academia Sueca dará a conocer su decisión sobre el Nobel de Literatura, que el año pasado fue para el francés Jean Marie Le Clézio. Entre los favoritos de este año figuran además del israelí Amos Oz y el poeta franco-sirio-libanés Adonis, varios escritores estadunidenses, como Joyce Carol Oates, Thomas Pynchon y Philip Roth. En la ciudad no hay más que las caras / las caras las caras / tantas caras / que se olvida el placer de encontrarlas. Materia de la búsqueda, materia de la entrega ecuánime en lo cotidiano, ser ojiabierto ante la miseria y la dicha de no ser: la antimateria. La más reciente publicación de Hazelton, la traducción al español de antimatter hecha por el mismo autor, cohabita con el temperamento urbano, nuestra especie moderna peligrando su palabra y sus entrañas. La poesía de antimateria es visual, como artillería de letras en cada página. Hay evidentemente una intención de provocar a ese lector de todaspartes a explorarse en el poemario como si fuese un espejo de vivencias o sentimientos. Comunica. Emerge.
